Ducor Terminals completes berth productivity programme
A twelve-month programme of crane sequencing, yard re-blocking and gang restructuring has lifted average berth moves per hour across all container services.

MONROVIA, Liberia — Ducor Terminals Inc. today announced the completion of a twelve-month berth productivity programme at its Monrovia terminal, delivering a sustained improvement in average moves per hour across all container services calling the port.
The programme combined revised crane sequencing, a re-blocking of the container yard to cut unproductive moves, and a restructuring of shift gangs around continuous operations. Average vessel turnaround time has shortened correspondingly, giving shipping lines a more reliable port stay and greater schedule recovery on West Africa loops.
“Every hour a vessel spends alongside is an hour of cost for our customers,” said the terminal's Head of Operations. “This programme was about discipline — planning the vessel before it arrives, clearing the yard behind the quay, and keeping the cranes working. The result is a faster, more predictable Monrovia call.”
The productivity gains form part of Ducor Terminals' wider operational excellence agenda, which pairs equipment investment with training and process control across marine, quay, yard and gate operations.
